Campaigns and advocacy
Successful campaigns identify shared goals, wrangle disparate stakeholders and feature good planning and implementation.
They also know where to apply pressure and how to handle advocacy without harming key stakeholder relationships.
We develop strength-based campaigns that can’t be ignored by decision makers.
Successful campaigns include Make Renting Fair, Save NPAH/NAHA Homelessness Funding, No to Homophobia Campaign, Save the Rooming House Outreach Program, Call This a Home? Campaign for Safe Rooming Houses, Save SHASP and the Vote Yes for Amalgamation Campaign for the TCFUA.
Strategy is the foundation for every effective piece of communication, whether it is an opinion piece, an annual report, a Facebook page or a global advocacy campaign.
Without a clear idea of what you want to achieve, you won’t achieve it.
We create strategies that are outcomes-focused, creative and easy to use.
We have created strategies and plans for VACCHO, CPSU, Neami National, cohealth, Eastern Melbourne PHN, Australians for Affordable Housing, Common Equity Housing and Noah's Ark.
The media holds enormous power to inform, entertain and influence the public, policy makers, politicians and others.
It can both harm and enhance your work. Your challenge is to harness this power and make the media your friend.
We find your strongest story and present it to the right person using our extensive media relationships.
We have gained national, state and local media coverage for a wide range of organisations including Mitchell Shire Council, Homelessness Australia, Aboriginal Family Violence and Prevention Legal Service, Eastern Melbourne PHN, Neami National, Tenants Victoria and No to Homophobia Campaign.
Social media and online
Social media offers new opportunities to tell stories to audiences. It offers you the chance to build online communities and create deep and lasting relationships.
It also comes with new risks, not least the risk of mediocrity.
We will take you through this process to ensure your social media plan is tailored to fit your needs.
We have designed and run social media for VCOSS, Australians for Affordable Housing, International Students Work Rights Legal Service, Council to Homeless Persons and Neami National.
Editorial and messaging
Good storytelling is a craft and an art that makes grabs the reader’s attention, connects them to your message and moves them to action.
Without smart and creative editorial, including writing, graphics and video, your message will be lost.
Once we’ve found your strongest story, we produce it for your target audience to ensure the greatest impact.
We have developed messaging and stories for nearly every client we've had, including the Victorian Government, TCFUA, Federation of Community Legal Centres, No to Homophobia Campaign, Save NPAH Campaign and Make Renting Fair.
Training and mentoring
We provide training in all of the above areas and cater to large and small groups.
Training programs are customised to suit each group of participants and content focus.
We facilitate people to develop the theory, practical skills and confidence they need to be effective.
We have run training and mentoring programs for Sustainability Victoria, VCOSS, Wyndham City Council, Pro Bono Australia, Community Legal Centres Queensland, The Salvation Army and Noah's Ark.
