Social Change Projects (SCP) has worked with Respect Victoria across a number of targeted engagements focused on communications, public advocacy and community‑facing campaigns to prevent family violence and promote gender equality. SCP has been engaged directly by Respect Victoria and through partner organisations to provide specialist publicist, media and engagement support, including work associated with major public awareness initiatives such as the 16 Days of Activism campaign. This work has supported Respect Victoria to amplify key messages, engage priority audiences and ensure campaign activity was aligned with broader government and sector reform objectives. SCP has also supported Respect Victoria through strategic collaboration with allied organisations and creative partners, helping connect policy, community engagement and cultural initiatives. This has included participation in meetings and briefings with Respect Victoria staff and external stakeholders to explore partnership opportunities, community‑led approaches and narrative strategies that centre lived experience and cultural change. SCP’s contribution in these contexts has focused on strengthening alignment between Respect Victoria’s prevention mandate and the expertise of community organisations, advocates and artists working in the family violence prevention space. In addition, SCP has provided broader advocacy and government‑facing support linked to Respect Victoria’s role within Victoria’s family violence and gender equality architecture. This has included advising on stakeholder engagement, public positioning and cross‑sector collaboration, drawing on SCP’s experience working across the prevention, housing, legal and community services sectors. Across these engagements, SCP has supported Respect Victoria to communicate complex reform agendas clearly and credibly, while maintaining a strong focus on prevention, accountability and long‑term cultural change.
